If at all possible, enter your time to the exact minute. The best place to get your birth time is from your birth certificate if it is recorded there. Do not adjust for Daylight Savings Time.
If you do not have a birth certificate, or if the time of your birth is not recorded on it, you can ask your mother or anyone else who would have been present at your birth. This astrology chart report is different from many other astro charts that are available online. It uses mostly Classical/Traditional methods. An interpretation using Classical/Traditional methods tends to focus on practical matters rather than giving a psychological analysis.
Classical/Traditional methods can also be rather blunt about the favorable and unfavorable parts of your birth chart. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and this will be reflected in the interpretation.

Are birth charts accurate?
Yes, birth charts are very accurate. This is particularly true of birth chart interpretations using Classical/Traditional methods like this one.
As discussed above, this free natal chart report will not be as accurate as a personal reading by a professional astrologer. This is because of the limitations of a computerized report. On the other hand, you should recognize yourself in the interpretation.
If your report does not seem accurate, it is possible that your birth time is wrong. Even a time listed on a birth certificate can be off by several minutes. This can be enough to throw your entire chart off. Times that are on the hour, half-hour, or quarter-hour are particularly suspect. Examples of this are 8:00 am, 4:30 pm, and 7:15 pm.
If your Ascendant is between 0 and 3 degrees of a zodiac sign, try adjusting the time by about 10 minutes backward. This should give you a chart with an Ascendant in the previous star sign. If that interpretation seems more accurate, use that time instead.
Likewise, if your Ascendant is between 27 and 30 degrees of a zodiac sign, adjust the time forward about 10 minutes. This should give you a chart with an Ascendant in the next sign.
Can your natal chart change?
No, your natal chart is a map of the sky at the moment of your first breath, and it will never change.
That being said, different parts of your birth chart will be active at different times in your life. Some parts of your chart may seem latent for years or even decades.
Your chart will also evolve and mature over the course of your life and will manifest in different ways as you age. For example, if your natal chart shows health issues, you might not experience them until you are older.
Astrologers have techniques to determine how your chart will manifest over time. These techniques are all based on your natal chart, however. Your birth chart is considered the root prediction.
How do I find my Moon Sign?
So long as you have entered in a birth time, this free natal chart report will include your Moon sign and will give you an interpretation of that sign.
On the other hand, If you have checked the box saying that you do not know your birth time, the zodiac sign of your Moon will be omitted. This because the Moon moves so fast that it can change signs over the course of the day. In this case, see the instructions below to determine your Moon Sign.
Determining your Moon Sign with an unknown birth time
If you have a possible birth time within a few hours:
- Enter the middle time of the time frame you have. As long as the Moon is not in early (0-5) or late (25-30) degrees of a zodiac sign, the Moon sign is probably accurate.
- If the Moon is in early degrees of a sign, enter in the earliest possible time. Likewise, if the Moon is in late degrees, enter the latest possible time.
If you do not know your birth time at all:
- Enter noon as your birth time in the free birth chart calculator. As long as the Moon is between 13 and 17 degrees of a sign, this is your Moon Sign.
- If the Moon is between 0 and 13 degrees of a sign, enter midnight as your birth time and see what Moon Sign you get. If the Moon is between 17 and 30 degrees of a sign, enter 11:59 pm as your birth time.
You may get the same Moon sign with all of the entries you try. If so, you are in luck. This is your Moon sign. You may, however, get two possible Moon Signs. If that happens, read the description for the Moon in both of the possible zodiac signs. Go with the one that seems most accurate.
Is the Ascendant the same as the Rising Sign?
Yes, the Ascendant and the Rising Sign are different terms for the same chart point. This chart point is the star sign that was rising in the East at the moment of your first breath.
Is the Ascendant/Rising Sign the same as the Sun Sign?
No, they are not the same. The Sun Sign is the zodiac sign that the Sun was in when you were born. The Ascendant or Rising Sign is the star sign that was rising in the East.
The Sun Sign will show you who you are on a deep level, especially if you were born during the day. If you were born at night, you will seem more like your Moon Sign.
The Ascendant gives information about your body and your appearance. It will also let you known how you seem to people you just met or people who do not know you very well.
This being said, if you know your Ascendant, you can, and should, use that rather than your Sun Sign for reading horoscopes. The reason for this is complicated, but it has to do with the methods astrologers use to generate horoscopes for entire star signs.
