The City of Frisco Water Resources Division,under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 159,000residents living in the Frisco City area. Established in 1904, the City ofFrisco Water Resources Division receives treated water from the North TexasMunicipal Water District (NTMWD), which draws water primarily from Lavon Lake,with additional sources that include Jim Chapman Lake, Lake Texoma, LakeTawakoni, East Fork Raw Water Supply Project (Wetland).
